Before the cold weather sets in, we are cherishing fond memories of bright, beautiful and crisp fall days. When we think of those days, we cannot help but recall the elegant and intimate autumn wedding we styled for a trendy New York City couple.
For this personal wedding, the bride and groom wanted a family only affair. Guests flew in from all over the country to celebrate their special day. Starting with the New York City skyline invitation, the Bride and Groom set the urban wedding tone as well as introduced their wedding color – orange.
Since guests were mostly from out of town, the couple chose to have their reception at the beautiful Eventi Hotel in midtown Manhattan. Eventi has spacious ballrooms and an amazing wrap around terrace with iconic Manhattan views. Guests enjoyed the sweet sounds of a jazz trio provided by Juilliard Performers, while sipping on specialty cocktails and basking in the bright fall sunshine.
After cocktails, guests were led downstairs to a trendy foyer and a unique placecard table. We paired lush orange, brown and green flowers and branches from Matles Florist with a custom wooden monogram from Craft Cuts of the couples initials. Placecards were fashioned on miniature stumps of wood purchased from Beau-coup. Simple, classic printable place cards were found at Paper Source.
The room was warmly lit and the tables were adorned with sheer orange organza overlays and stunning centerpieces of vibrant autumn colors from Matles Florist.
Guests enjoyed a true New York treat with a delicious and visually stunning cake from Sylvia Weinstock.
The placecard table served as the favor table at the end of the evening. Guests were treated to adorable New York City keepsake taxicab ornaments from The Ornament Shop as parting gifts.
